Like any measuring instrument, a watch needs regular maintenance so that it always works perfectly. We cannot provide general information on the frequency of maintenance, as this depends on the model, the weather conditions and the way in which a watch is treated and worn. The water resistance of a watch can deteriorate over time, for example as the seals age.

Bumps, falls and incorrect operation can affect the water resistance. We therefore recommend - depending on the use of the watch - every 3 to 6 years maintenance or revision with a comprehensive check. Strong magnetic fields, such as those generated by loudspeakers or refrigerators, or strong differences in air pressure, such as in the transport areas of airplanes, can also damage your timepiece under certain circumstances.
 

cleaning

 

Clean metal bracelets and waterproof cases with a fine microfiber cloth and soapy water and use a soft, clean, lint-free cloth to dry them.

Avoid direct contact of the watch with solvents, cleaning agents, perfume, cosmetics, etc., as such products can damage the strap, the case or the seals.

Salt water

Always rinse the watch with clean tap water after bathing in salt water.

External influence

Protect the watch from shocks and strong sunlight and light.
 

Temperatures

Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (higher than 45 ° C or less than 0 ° C) and avoid sharp fluctuations in temperature.

Not screw-down crown

 

Always push the crown in to the neutral position to prevent water from entering the movement.

Leather bracelets
 

• Do not expose the bracelet to sunlight for a long period of time to prevent the color from fading.

• Do not allow the bracelet to come into contact with water and moisture, this can result in discoloration or deformation.

• Do not bring the leather strap into contact with greasy substances and cosmetic products. We expressly do not recommend cleaning the bracelet with leather cleaners.

Watertightness

The water resistance of a watch can deteriorate over time, for example as the seals age or due to impacts against one of the components responsible for water resistance, such as the crown, the pushers or the watch glass. Therefore it is not possible for us to give a guarantee on the water resistance.
